At Veritas, we believe that children are a blessing from the Lord, and we desire to TREASURE them as humans made in the image of God, TEACH them the good news that Jesus saves sinners, and TRAIN them in how to live as God's people in the world.

Because our gatherings on Sunday mornings are the primary place God is building up his people through his Word, we value having our children with us in the service, while also seeing value in age-appropriate classroom settings for learning about God.

Currently we offer classes for kids of all ages split between our Sunday School Hour and in service classes.

IN-SERVICE CLASSES

During the 10am service, we have classes for kids in Kindergarten and under. These classes focus on welcoming and praying for the little ones, while trying to help prepare children to enjoy the church service in the future by practicing reading, singing, and praying together. Bible stories and activities in the classes correspond with The Biggest Story Bible Storybook. Check-in is located up the stairs to the left in the Great Hall as you enter the building. Our check-in system prints a sticker tag to go on your child's back, as well as a tag for their parent or guardian to hold onto for check-out.

SUNDAY SCHOOL HOUR

During our Sunday School Hour (8:45-9:45am) we have classes for kids First Grade on up. Sunday School runs on a 13 week Fall & Spring Semester schedule on a 2 year teaching cycle. Kids can check-in down the stairs in the Dining Room for a brief snack before breaking out to individual rooms.

Elementary Bible Class (1st-3rd grade)

- This class uses The Biggest Story Curriculum to learn the big story of the Bible by spending time in individual Bible stories moving from Genesis to Revelation over 2 years.

Elementary Catechism Class (4th-6th grade)

- This class focuses on learning and memorizing the New City Catechism to help children be introduced to the basic tenets of the Christian faith.

Middle School Catechism Class (7th grade +)

- This class once again goes through the New City Catechism, but with a focus on asking "Is this true?" and "Why does this matter" as kids are invited to explore the tenets of the Christian faith as they relate to life in God's world.
