Veritas Church is a gospel-preaching community helping people find rest in God through Jesus Christ. Our women’s ministry aims to encourage and equip women of all ages to fulfill the mission of our church, especially through three ordinary means of grace— God’s Word, prayer, and fellowship.
Registration for our Fall Bible Study and Book Club is now closed. If you’ve missed the registration period and would like to join a study group or book club, please reach out to us at women@veritasdayton.org.

GETTING STARTED
REPETITIVE READING
Try reading or listening through the book of Jonah once each day, asking God to show you Himself through His Word and prepare your heart for our study.
CONTEXT
Listen to Pastor Garrison’s sermon unpacking the history and context of the story of the prophet Jonah from January 2018:
“The story of Jonah is about so much more than a great, man-eating fish. This short Old Testament book is actually a powerful drama about God’s power, patience, and relentless grace—showing how God works out his purposes and how nothing can thwart his determination to save. Jonah's story is ultimately the story of Jesus and all believers as they learn to trust God and submit to his revealed word.”
BOOK CLUB
monthly reads: small books that pack a punch
September: Visible Grace: Seeing the Church the Way Jesus Does by Caleb Batchelor
October: The Scuttlebutt Letters: Words to a Wild Tongue by Natalie Brand
November: What If I Don’t Desire to Pray? by John Onwuchekwa
We will again gather monthly for book discussion September through November. For the first time this fall, we will read one book each month— small books between 50-100 pages covering topics that impact our life together in Christ. As a more informal setting than Bible study, children are welcome to join these meetings if needed. Reach out to Alex Frederickson or Katie Clayton with any questions!
Those who selected the book bundle option when registering can pick up their books after Sunday service on September 7th.
