WORSHIP & LITURGY
Veritas Community Church is a family of Christians that gather together ever Lord’s Day morning to participate in the liturgy of God’s people. Liturgy is simply what people do when they come together. Our Gathered Worship Liturgy is modeled after what we see God’s people doing when they gather in the Bible which includes the public reading and preaching of Scripture, the administration of baptism and communion, and the response of God’s people in prayer and praise.
Since Veritas’ Sunday Gatherings are not a performance, but a participation of all people, we can all prepare for the Gathering by reviewing the liturgy ahead of time and praying that God would use it to build us up as his church. We can also continue to worship God as a church throughout the week by participating in Family Worship and Private Worship in our homes, as outlined in their liturgies below.

FAMILY WORSHIP LITURGY
Veritas Community Church continues worshipping God throughout the week in all aspects of our lives. Family Worship is simply coming together for 10 minutes a day with those we live with to refocus our worship on God through the means of reading and praying the Bible that God has supplied.
What you can do:
1 READ Nehemiah 11:1-12:26 together
2 PRAY in response to the text, or the prayer of the week from the Private Worship Guide.
3 ASK and answer question #45 in the New City Catechism.
4 SING the song ‘Doxology’
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
Amen
If you have more than 10 minutes, and would like to do more, you can:
• discuss the sermon passage or points from the sermon
• read other readings from the Gathered Worship Liturgy, or try to memorize them
• Pray for members of your household and your city group
• Pray for the Elders, and other members and attenders of Veritas
• Pray for neighbors and/or coworkers who have not yet heard the gospel
• Pray for nations that have unreached people groups
• Memorize the Catechism question and read from the New City Catechism devotional
• Memorize another catechism (Heidelberg, Westminster, North Star, Boys and Girls)
• Sing another song
PRIVATE WORSHIP LITURGY
We continue worshipping God as a church by devoting time each morning to reading and praying the Bible in private. We can participate in this by following the readings and prayers found in Sunday's bulletin.
